PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent malfunction of a seat reclining device caused by the release of locking of the reclining when reclining memory is actuated by an inexpensive and simple structure. SOLUTION: The seat reclining device has an operation restraining means for restraining the unlocking operation of a reclining handle 25 when a seat back is operated based on the memory by a memory operating handle 37. Accordingly, a ratchet 30 is prevented from freely rotating from a slide pole constituting a reclining locking mechanism and also from a pole 32 constituting a reclining memory mechanism, so that the shift of the angle of the seat back can be prevented. The operation restraining means consists of only two rotating members close to each other; a first restraining lever 50 to rotate coaxially and integrally with the reclining handle 25 and a second restraining lever 51 to rotate coaxially and integrally with a release lever 33.
