PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent resin composition having high transparency, excellent heat resistance, excellent surface hardness, and excellent melt processability and to provide a transparent film made from the same. SOLUTION: The transparent resin composition comprises 99.9 to 80 wt.% N-substituted maleimide/olefin copolymer comprising 40 to 60 mol% N-substituted maleimide residue units and 60 to 40 mol% olefin residue units and having a number-average molecular weight of 1×10<SP>3</SP>to 5×10<SP>6</SP>and 0.1 to 20 wt.% organopolysiloxane and desirably comprises an acrylonitrile/styrene copolymer in addition to the above components.
