PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical device which is more reliable by suppressing deterioration of a reflection preventing film in bonding. SOLUTION: The optical device is constructed by fixing an optical element to a holder with a bonding agent, wherein the bonding agent is a lead-free low melting point glass containing 30-70 mol% SnO, 20-50 mol% P<SB>2</SB>O<SB>5</SB>, and 5-30 mol% MnO.
