PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for welding a stud, which apparatus can weld the stud on the inside surface of the pipe from the inside surface side of a pipe in the radial direction. SOLUTION: The apparatus 10 for welding the stud comprises a working stand 22 having a pipe 21 mounted thereon, a supporting member 15 to be inserted into the pipe 21 from its one opening, the pipe 21 being mounted on the working stand 22, a welding device 14 which is held by the portion of the supporting member 15 inserted into the pipe 21 and welds the stud 24 on the inside surface of the pipe 21 so as to be arranged in the radial direction, and a turning shaft 16 for turning the supporting member 15, wherein the welding device 14 comprises an electric current conductive member 23 having the electric conductivity, and a stud gripping member 25 which is mounted on the electric current conductive member 23 and grips the stud 24.
