METHOD FOR SEPARATING DEBRIS AND SAND USING STREAM TROUGH

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for separating debris and sand by using a stream trough, wherein debris and sand in sedimentary grit are separated from each other in the course of downward flow in a stream trough by utilizing the phenomenon that the sand and debris in the sedimentary grit flow downward through positions different from each other at speeds different from each other in the stream trough. SOLUTION: A separation plate 2 is disposed on the boundary formed due to the difference in specific gravity and shape between the sand and debris flowing downward along the streaming direction, inside the outlet port side of the stream trough 1 capable of separating the sand and debris in the sedimentary grit before discharging them. The sand and debris flowing in the stream trough 1 are separated and discharged by using the stream on the basis of the difference in specific gravity and shape. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
