PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photosensitive material having high refractive index and sufficient pencil hardness by using a photosensitive composition alone and to provide a laminate using the photosensitive material. SOLUTION: The photosensitive material is a carboxyl group-containing photosensitive material and obtained by reacting a compound (A) having acid anhydrides of two carboxyphenyl groups or acid anhydrides of two carboxyphenoxyphenyl group acid at 9th positions of a fluorene ring with a compound (B) having functional group(s) capable of reacting with the acid anhydrides and unsaturated double bond(s) and the material has≥1.56 refractive index after exposure to light.
