PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disease control method for freshwater fishes designed to further enhance the bactericidal power on pathogens made parasitic on the freshwater fishes when the freshwater fishes are to be released (raised) in salt bath water for a given period. SOLUTION: The disease control method for freshwater fishes comprises the following practice: The salt concentration of conventional salt bath water is raised to about 1.0-1.2 wt.% and the resultant salt bath water is then subjected to continuous far-infrared radiative ceramics treatment.
