Disclosed herein are vaso-occlusive devices for forming occluding the vasculature of a patient. More particularly, disclosed herein are vaso-occlusive devices comprising at least one polymer structure and methods of making and using these devices. The polymer structur is selected from the group consisting of a multi-layered polymeric structure, a twisted polymer, twill woven structure and a satin woven stucture.
