A large engine, especially a two-stroke diesel engine, comprises cylinder groups attached to a common compressed air container supplied by an exhaust gas turbocharger (1) and/or an electric motor-driven (9) fan wheel with the air being conditioned by a cooler and drop separator in a housing (8). Each blast space (12) comprises an additional blast (10) and a neighboring part (11) of the conditioning housing with at least one common wall (15) containing the inlet of the blast space.
