<p>A system (1) of transversal bars and a laterally positioned folding mechanism (4) working with a pulling rope (8) are accommodated between an interior (2) and an exterior cover, all parts forming the soft top of a convertible. The rope (8) is guided through bores in guiding segments (6) extending in a right angle from rectangular reinforcing elements (3) connected to the interior cover (2) by sewing (12). Two sides of the longitudinal elements of the mechanism (4) are in contact with the segments (6) when the cover is closed.</p> |
