<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the flow of persons from being delayed due to authentication while securing high safety by authentication. <P>SOLUTION: The face of a person who tries to make an entry is photographed by the camera of a terminal 5 installed in a site gate 2 through which the person passes when entering an area 1. The photographed face is collated with the face of a registrant, and when they are matched, the person is authenticated. At that time, the success/failure of authentication is recorded, and the entry of the person who has failed in authentication is not necessary limited. When the person who has entered the area 1 tries to enter buildings 3a, 3b, 3c and 3d, the face is photographed again by the cameras of terminals 6a, 6b, 6c and 6d installed in the entrance.
