PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell culture apparatus that has improved cell growth ability, excellent operability and exhaustively uses seeded cells for evaluation of three-dimensional culture. SOLUTION: The cell culture apparatus comprises a cylindrical outer cylinder 1, a cylindrical inner tube 2 that has a bore and is fitted in or screw into the cylindrical outer tube part, a base plate 4 in the bore part of the outer tube, a packing or cushion part 3 between the outer tube and the base plate and a cell culture carrier 5 between the bottom of the inner tube and the base plate 4.
