PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital content recording device which can store audio data easily on an HDD without requiring CD ripping. SOLUTION: The device 101 is a digital content recording device which is composed of a CD drive 102, a music information acquiring means 103 to acquire music information, a DB controller 104 to control the DB (DataBase) files, a recording medium 105, a communication means 106 to make communication to obtain music information, and an audio data acquiring means 107. The DB controller 104 updates the DB files of the music contained in the loaded CD, and checks items showing whether to allow "audio data acquisition" or not. The audio data acquiring means 107 is informed to acquire the audio data of the checked music, the audio data acquiring means 107 acquires the audio data as informed and records them on the recording medium 105.
