PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moss-supporting body laid over a weed-grown place such as a railroad or a road banked slope, a road median strip, a road shoulder, or a place under an electric feeder line iron tower so as to prevent germination/growth of weeds to contribute to prevention of global warming. SOLUTION: The moss-supporting body is structured as follows: putting moss 3 between two fibrous aggregates 1, 2; integrating the two fibrous aggregates 1, 2 so as to be laminated through making the fibers of the aggregates partially tangled with one another via a mechanical entanglement means; and attaching a sheet 5 preventing the germination/growth of the weeds to the lower side of the integrally laminated fibrous aggregates 4 so as to prevent the weeds from germinating from the bottom of the moss-supporting body 10 and prevent germination of weed seeds coming by air onto the moss-supporting body 10 because no soil exists there. The efficiency photosynthesis of the moss 3 is not so different from that of trees or lawns, and the moss-supporting body contributes to immobilization of carbon dioxide at a high level so as to prevent global warming.
