A mobile terminal (10), which includes a TV receiver for receiving TV programming broadcasts and has functions of recording the received TV programmings and of scheduling such recordings, uses detecting parts (151,152,153) to detect the occurrence of any event that would interfere with the operations of the TV programming recording functions, and then uses an event occurrence detecting part (154) to instruct, via a message transmitting/receiving part (155), a server apparatus (20) or a video recorder (30), which is an external recording apparatus connected to the mobile terminal (10) via a communication line (50) and having a TV programming recording function, to record a TV programming being recorded or schedule the recording of a TV programming being scheduled for recording.
