An image forming apparatus and an image forming method using the same are provided to grasp the movement of positions of color-classified developing machines by additionally composing color-classified logic units. A data dividing unit(140) divides a printed image into color-classified data. Color-classified developing machines(313,315,317,319) print the divided color-classified data. Positions of the color-classified developing machines(313,315,317,319) are freely moved. A control unit(150) adopts an I2C communication type, and drives the color-classified developing machines(313,315,317,319). Logic units(323,325,327,329) are connected to the control unit(150) by an I2C bus, and have intrinsic address information.
