An apparatus for converting DC power is provided to have a small component size without using a CML(Current Mode Logic circuit) relay and use a photo coupler with a low price. A bridge diode(110) is connected to a phone line. A DC feeding part(130) forms a closed loop with the bridge diode(110), and feeds primary DC power to an imaging apparatus. A photo coupler(120) turns on/off the closed loop. A control unit(170) controls the on/off of the photo coupler(120) so that the DC feeding part(130) feeds the primary DC power to the imaging apparatus.
