The pencil has a lead guide (5) that is retractable in a nozzle (4) and that includes a duct for the passage of a lead (9). A deformable lead brake (13) has lead-brake frictional zones limiting the movement of the lead in the lead guide and limiting the movement of the lead guide in the nozzle. Each frictional zone is moved angularly around an axis (X) with respect to the other zone.
