Provided is a variable overall length device of a fire hose cart for a fire truck by using a front wheel supporting member, thereby easily transporting the fire hose cart by adjusting a distance between a front wheel and a rear wheel. A front wheel supporting member(11) having a front wheel(1c) and a steering unit(1e) is inserted into a frame(1b) of a cart(1) in a longitudinal direction. Plural supports(12) are installed on a rear end portion of the front wheel supporting member. A roller supporting member(14) is installed on an upper portion of the support in parallel with the front wheel supporting member, and has plural rollers(13) rotatably installed on the roller supporting member. A guide plate(15) is installed on an upper surface of the frame. A fixing member is installed on the lateral surfaces of the front wheel supporting member and frame.
