A keypad using a thin stainless panel and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to replace a plastic keypad with a metal keypad, thereby downsizing the keypad. A thin stainless panel is etched in a required pattern through a metal etching method so as to form a front panel(P) with various buttons(10) arranged on the same plane. After solvent-based primer is applied on a rear surface of the front panel, a polyamide-based binder is applied on the primer applied layer, and then the layers are cured. A cut-off line(11) formed on a boundary of each button and through-holes(11') formed to display numerals and characters are filled with silicon in a sheet, and the silicon sheet is compressed at a proper temperature.
