The double clutch has a first clutch area (12) with contact pressure plate assembly (16) and second clutch area (14) with second contact pressure plate assembly (44). At least one of the clutch areas has a dedicated torsion vibration damper assembly (80) which is mounted in relation to a rotational axis (A) at least in part in the axial area of the first and/or second clutch areas. <??>The clutch areas have abutment assemblies (18,46) of which at least one can form a part of the torsion vibration damper assembly.
