A light emitting display and a driving method thereof are provided to use a power supply unit of low output by restricting a high current from instantaneously flowing to the power supply unit by driving parts of the light emitting display in sequence. A light emitting display includes a pixel unit(100) having plural pixels(110) emitting the light correspondingly to a data signal and a scan signal; a data driving unit(200) transmitting the data signal to the pixel unit; a scan driving unit(300) transmitting the scan signal to the pixel unit; a timing control unit(400) controlling the data driving unit and the scan driving unit; and a power supply unit(500) supplying power to the pixel unit, the data driving unit, the scan driving unit, and the timing control unit. The power supply unit comprises a power control unit(520) controlling the driving order of the pixel unit, the data driving unit, the scan driving unit, and the timing control unit and a power unit supplying power to the pixel unit, the data driving unit, the scan driving unit, the timing control unit, and the power control unit by the power control unit.
