A dishwasher and a washing method are provided to improve washing efficiency by turning a rack around a rotating shaft and evenly injecting washing water to tableware, to save washing water by cleaning tableware according to capacity or pollution level, and to make the best use of space by circumferentially arranging the rotary rack in a tub. A dishwasher(100) includes a tub(101) washing tableware, plural racks(106) storing tableware, a rotary support unit(140) supported by the plural racks and installed rotatably in the tub, and an injector installed in the tub to selectively inject washing water to the rack. The injector comprises a first injector formed in the rotational center of the rotary support unit to inject washing water to the rack, and a second injector installed in a lower part of the rotary support unit to inject washing water to the rack. The first injector includes an injection arm(154) communicated with a connection pipe supplying the washing water, and plural injection nozzles(155) formed in an outer periphery of the injection arm to inject washing water.
