A system for discharging water from a steam oven and a method of the same are provided to prevent the hot water from being discharged by containing the flow controller combined at the temperature sensor. A household oven is composed of a housing in which a cooking cavity is formed; a steam generator(70) having an inlet(52) receiving water, a drain, and a steam outlet(78) connected to the cooking cavity to flow the steam in the cooking cavity; a temperature sensor(80) for sensing the parameter showing the water temperature in the steam generator to decide whether or not the water temperature in the steam generator is proper enough to be discharged; and a flow controller(88) combined at the temperature sensor to be operated and fluid-combined by the drain to control the discharge of the water from the steam generator on the basis of the decision of discharging the water.
