A slim keypad for a mobile phone and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to integrally form a key plate and a key base through a silicon forming process, thereby eliminating a process of adhering the key base on the key plate. A surface plate(41) has a button display printed on a surface, and buttons of the button display are partially cut. A rear film is adhered on a rear surface of the surface plate, and is partially cut for each button. A plate film(43) is adhered on a lower surface of the rear film, and is partially cut for each button. A key base is integrally formed with the lower surface of the rear film, and has a boss formed on each button for pressing down a dome switch(20).
