A method and an apparatus for cutting a label for an emblem are provided to perform effectively the semi-cutting, thereby forming an emblem with a desired shape. A roller(30) is moved simultaneously and a jig transfer plate(20) is moved in parallel to the roller toward the lower portion of the roller. A jig(200) having plural cutting edges is placed on the jig plate flatly. By the roller and jig transfer plate, the moved jig is abruptly contacted linearly and a raw cloth(100) placed between the roller and jig is cut so that a label is formed. The raw cloth is also transferred beyond the roller and placed between the roller and jig so that the cutting work is performed. After completing the cutting work, the raw cloth is transferred backwardly from the transfer plate.
