PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently indicate traffics and related information on a map area. SOLUTION: The method of expressing information concerning a map, using data about latitudes and longitudes, comprises a step of setting a main base point having a predetermined latitude and longitude, a grid generating step of dividing an area set in relation to the main base point along the latitudes and longitudes to generate a plurality of sections in first units of latitudes and longitudes designated on the base of the main base point, a step of designating a specified section among the sections and setting the coordinates of a predetermined corner of the designated section as a sub-base point, a step of setting second units of the first units divided by designated divisors, and a position setting step of expressing position information expressing points, lines and planes concerning the map with relative coordinates referencing the sub-base points, using the 2 units. |
