<p>A device and a method for locking an I/O(Input/Output) device are provided to prevent a wrong operation caused from unintentional touch by stopping a touch screen while a user performs a desired operation in a communication terminal using the touch screen as the I/O device. An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) locking circuit(242) interrupts an operation of the touch screen according to an external control signal. A controller(230) controls the operation of the LCD locking circuit by determining whether a condition fit for the external control signal is realized or not. In case that a mobile device is busy, the controller stops the operation of the touch screen by operating the LCD locking circuit. The controller makes the touch screen operated by controlling the operation of the LCD locking circuit based on the external control signal while the mobile device is busy.</p> |
