Provided are an optical polymer which of high glass transition temperature, low hygroscopicity, excellent transparency and improved processing stability at a high temperature and the stability against thermal decomposition, and an optical lens comprising the polymer. The optical polymer is obtained by polymerizing 50-85 wt% of methyl methacrylate, 10-40 wt% of a compound represented by the formula I and 1-30 wt% of an alpha -substituted vinyl monomer, wherein R1 to R3 are independently a C1-C3 alkyl group. Preferably the alpha-substituted vinyl monomer is at least one selected from the groups consisting of methyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate, styrene and 5,5,6-trimethylisobornyl acrylate.
