A method and an apparatus for fixing a switching off time of an induction heater are provided to supply a constant output voltage to outside regardless of a variation of an input voltage by resonating an LC tank only for a predetermined period. An apparatus for fixing a switching off time of an induction heater includes an oscillator(600) and an off-time controller(700). The oscillator output an oscillation signal, such that a commercial current/voltage is turned on/off. The commercial current/voltage is applied on a working coil, which applies heat on a target object. The off-time controller maintains a control signal, which is applied on the oscillator, at a constant value according to the oscillation signal from the oscillator, such that the oscillation signal output power of the oscillator is controlled. |
