An image processing apparatus, an image pickup device, and an image processing system are provided to restrain cost increase and correspond to an image pickup element of large pixels. An image processing LSI(Large Scale Integration)(32) performs a certain image process of image data inputted from an image pickup unit(31), and outputs data after the process. An one-dimension compression unit(34) performs an one-dimension compression process of the data after the process, and outputs compression data after the process. A camera I/F(InterFace)(35) outputs the compression data.
