An envelop deposit apparatus for an automated teller machine is provided to enhance the stability of a deposit envelop container installed in a main frame of the automated teller machine. A deposit envelop transfer unit(100) has an envelop inlet formed on the front of a main frame(200) for receiving an envelop filled with paper moneys, plural rollers or belt installed in the main frame for transferring the envelop, and a drive motor(130) driving the rollers or belt. A printer head(190) is installed on an envelop transfer path of the envelop transfer unit for printing deposit details on the envelop. A deposit envelop container(300) is slidably mounted on the main frame under the deposit envelop transfer unit.
