A precipitation tank capable of providing excellent solid matter setting characteristics by a rather simple structure, wherein a raw water is fed into a feed well (12), flows mainly from the bottom face (11a) of a tank body along the inner peripheral wall surface (11b) of the tank body, overflows an overflow weir (15), and is discharged from a clarified water discharge tube (16). While the raw water flows along the inner peripheral wall surface (11b) of the tank body, the water can be efficiently settled since the water flows between tilted plates (14). Deposit flows from the inner peripheral wall surface (11b) along the bottom face (11a) of the tank body, flows into a pit-like discharge part (13), and is discharged from the discharge part to the outside of the tank body (11).
