A backlight unit is provided to enable the local and prompt replacement of abnormal LED(Light Emitting Diode) units, by assembling a plurality of modulated LED units on a base substrate. A base substrate(120) is installed within a case(100). A plurality of modulated LED units(110) are assembled on the base substrate. A controller controls the brightness of the LED units. The LED units are detachably installed on the base substrate. Each LED unit includes a block substrate, in which a reflective plate is provided, and a plurality of LEDs arranged on the block substrate. A brightness sensor is installed in the LED unit. |
