MOBILE ROBOT SYSTEM AND MOBILE ROBOT REMOTE CONTROL METHOD

A mobile robot system and a method for remotely controlling a mobile robot are provided to remotely control a mobile robot by using an established indoor telephone line at a low cost. A mobile robot(60) includes a robot signal receiving unit(63) and performs its operation as moving according to a control signal received by the robot receiving unit(63). A home station(10) can receive the mobile robot(60), and when the mobile robot is received, the home station(10) includes a charging unit(40) for charging the mobile robot(60). A telephone connection unit(20) is installed in the home station(10) and makes or receives a call through an indoor telephone line connected with an external telephone network. A telephone signal conversion unit(30) converts a telephone signal received through the telephone connection unit(20) into a control signal and transmits it to the robot signal receiving unit(63).
