A method and a system for offering limited digital contents, and a record medium for realizing the same are provided to make prevention of illegal copy and protection of a copyright more effective by endowing a scarcity value to the digital contents, and induce customer interests by limiting quantity of the digital contents. A database(110) stores content files. A content server(108) sets a transfer frequency of the content file, transfers the content file to a user client(100) by receiving a transfer request signal for the content file, and counts the transfer frequency of the content file. In case that the file transfer frequency is reached to the transfer frequency set to the content file, the server stops transfer of the content file by changing URL(Uniform Resource Locator) information of the content file. A web server(104) provides a webpage displaying the remaining transfer frequency of the content file by receiving remaining transfer frequency information of the content file from the content server.
