A dial button for a drum-type washing machine is provided to prevent the dial button and the rotary switch from being damaged and increase the reliability of the user by mounting the button control device at the control panel. A dial button(10) for operating a rotary switch for a drum-type washing machine is composed of: a button fixing device(20) having a body unit(21) where a fitting hole(21A) is formed at the center, a fixing unit(22) formed with spring combining projections having a spring fitting groove inside, and a combining hole communicated with the fitting hole in the fixing device and combined with the rotary switch; a button operating device(30) having an operating unit(31) formed with an operating groove unit(31A) inside to be combined with the fixing unit, wherein one side is opened, a guide member(32) formed at the opened one side of the operating unit, and an operating body unit(39) integrally formed at one surface of the operating unit with the guide member; an elastic spring(40) placed between the operating groove unit and the fixing unit; and a cylindrical button control device(50) in which the operating body unit is press-fitted, and installed at the control panel.
