An apparatus and a method for lighting a lamp for an LCD backlight are provided to simplify the manufacturing process of a socket, by manufacturing a body of the socket using a conductive metal or a conductive rubber. An insulator(100) is positioned above a PCB(Printed Circuit Board) substrate(500). The insulator has a hollow and a fixing groove(120). A body(200) is insertion-coupled with the insulator through the hollow of the insulator. The body has an insertion groove, into which a fluorescent lamp lead is inserted, and a ground portion(220) grounded on the PCB substrate. The body is formed of a conductive metal or a conductive rubber. A fixing member(300) pressurizes the insulator and the body to fix the fluorescent lamp lead. |
