A sliding type portable phone is provided to enable a slide body to be opened from a main body through plural opening steps and simultaneously assign proper functions according to each opening step so that a user can select the opened state of the slide body and intuitively use a desired function. A predetermined combining unit(30) is installed in a body of a contact surface of a main body(10) or a slide body(20). One or more combining grooves(23) are formed in the other body of the contact surface of the main body(10) or the slide body(20). According to being combined with the combining unit(30), the one or more combining grooves(23) enable the slide body(20) to be gradually opened from the main body(10). Therefore, the slide body is opened through plural opening steps.
