A method and an apparatus for providing an ARS(Automatic Response System) connection service are provided to allow a user to conveniently use an ARS service by providing a screen interface together with a voice interface. An RF transmitter/receiver(115) includes a modulator, demodulator, a transmission amplifier, and a reception amplifier to wirelessly transmit/receive signals to/from a base station. A display unit(109) outputs various display data and a text message. A storage unit(106) includes a screen menu program for configuring a menu according to contents included in an SMS push message. An audio conversion unit(118) amplifies a voice signal inputted through a microphone, converts it into a digital signal, converts/amplifies voice data received from the outside into an analog signal, and then outputs it to a speaker. A key input unit(112) includes a plurality of number/character input keys, a function key for a user interface, and a send key. A controller(103) provides user interface by performing control for driving the screen menu configuration program of the storage unit(106) when an SMS push command is received from an ARS server. |
