A driving method of a drum-type washing machine is provided to check the existing condition of the water in the water storage space of the heating box by the temperature difference between the two sensors. A driving method of a drum-type washing machine comprises: a step(S1) of flowing the initial water at the water storage space of a heating box through the water supply path; a step(S3) of temporarily operating the heater for heating the water and checking whether the condition of the heater is normal or not; a step(S9) of heating the water to setting temperature and flowing the heated water in the water storage tub through the inlet pipe; a step(S17) of operating a predetermined washing stroke set by a user; a step(S21) of re-flowing the water to the water storage space of the heating box through the circulation path by the operation of the circulation pump; a step(S23) of temporarily operating the heater for heating the re-flowed water at the water storage space and checking whether the heater is normal or not; a step(S27) of heating the water to setting temperature and re-flowing the heated water to the water storage tub through the inlet pipe opened/closed by the driving of the synchronous motor; and a step(S31) of mounting a third temperature sensor so as to check the temperature of the water periodically and operate the circulation pump by the signal sensed by the third temperature sensor.
