A communication terminal recording image call data and a method for operating the same are provided to make it possible to efficiently record the image call data by outputting concurrently the received/transmitted image call data, associated with each other, on an outputting unit. A communication terminal recording image call data comprises a communication module(201), a data extractor(203), an image processor(204), a voice processor(205) and a data generator(206). The communication module(201) transmits/received the image call data to/from the second communication terminal through a wireless/wired communication network. The data extractor(203) extracts received image call data which is received from the second communication terminal, and transmitted image call data which is transmitted by the first communication terminal. The image processor(204) generates the second image data where the received and transmitted image data, included in the image call data, is outputted via one view in the same sequence. The voice processor(205) generate the second voice data by overlapping the received voice data, matched with the received image data, with the transmitted voice data, matched with the transmitted image data. The data generator(206) synchronizes the second image data with the second voice data and generates the second image call data.
