A composition for inhibiting obesity is provided to reduce side effects, inhibit weight increase, and adipocyte increase, and reduce cholesterol concentration in blood. The composition for inhibiting obesity comprises Melissa officinalis extract, wherein the amount of Melissa officinalis extract is 0.1-95.0 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of composition. The composition for inhibiting obesity comprises Melissa officinalis extract, Artemisia capillaris extract and Morus alba L. extract, wherein the amounts of Melissa officinalis extract, Artemisia capillaris extract and Morus alba L. extract are 0.1-95.0 parts by weight, 0.1-60.0 parts by weight and 1.0-70.0 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight; and the dry weight ratio of Melissa officinalis extract, Artemisia capillaris extract and Morus alba L. extract is 1~3: 0.1~1: 1~3.
