A DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) receiving system and a control method thereof are provided to confirm the remaining capacity of a battery and view the retransmitted previous broadcasting program again after charging the battery. A DMB receiving member(100) receives a user's desired image, senses the remaining amount of a battery and determines the recording change. A relay(200) receives the battery shortage information from the DMB receiving member and transmits the information to a corresponding base station. A mobile communication base station(300) receives the battery shortage information, analyzes the channel information while watching and transmits the analyzed information to a corresponding channel manager(400). The channel manager receives the channel information and outputs the converted command for recording.
