A master device, a control method thereof, and an electronic device having the same are provided to keep smooth communication between the devices by normally terminating the communication or initializing the device in case that the communication between the devices performing the communication according to a protocol is abnormally terminated or malfunction is generated in the device. The first and second line is used for the communication according to the protocol. A controller(4) transmits the first signal corresponding to a stop condition of the protocol to the slave device(2) through the first and second line, and determines whether the stop condition is satisfied based on a voltage level of the first and/or second line. In case that the stop condition is not satisfied, the controller transmits the second signal for satisfying the stop condition to the slave device through the first and second line. The protocol includes an I2C(Inter-IC) protocol. The first line is a clock line of the I2C protocol and the second line is a data line of the I2C protocol.
