A mobile communication terminal having a smart card interface is provided to assure a larger area for arranging parts within a main body by installing a smart card at a folder or a slider and thereby increasing a space within a main body. A mobile communication terminal having a smart card interface comprises a PCB unit(110), a main processor(120), and a sub processor(140). The PCB unit(110), embedded in a main body, implements functions of the mobile communication terminal. The main processor(120), connected to the PCB unit(110), processes voice signals or main image signals. The sub processor(140), connected to the main processor(120), processes sub image signals and includes an interface connected to the PCB unit(110) such that an interactive communication between the external smart card and the PCB unit(110) is possible. In case of a folder type terminal, the main processor(120) is arranged on a folder which is combined with the main body.
