Novel genin compounds and their salts, a preparation method thereof and use of the composition containing the same compounds are provided to inhibit and improve wrinkles by inhibiting matrix metalloproteinase(MMP) in fibroblasts and elastase and collagenase, and treat wounds by inhibiting iNOS(inducible nitric oxide synthase) activity, COX-2(cyclooxygenase -2) expression and interleukin-Ia. The method for preparing the genin compounds represented by the formula(I) comprises the steps of: hydrolyzing glycoside of the formula(II) with ion exchange resin and recrystallizing it to obtain aglycons such as tomentosolic acid; and dissolving the aglycons in organic solvent, adding base into the solution, removing solvent, and recrystallizing the resulting product in polar solvent, wherein R is hydrogen atom or alkali metal, alkali earth metal, amine, lysine or oxalate.
