The pad (1) has a flexible profile made of synthetic foam in which a part of leg above malleolus (8) of a bedridden person is housed so as to leave the foot of the person outside the pad. The profile is constituted by two lateral branches connected at their lower ends by a thick median part (4). A removable support is formed by a unit (9a) extending upwards at the upper end of which a unit (9b) is arranged, which extends forward for maintaining sheets and blankets (70) of a bed (7) remote from the foot. The profile is covered by a dust cover made of anti-allergic material.
