PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a convenient image recording apparatus in which, when an image file is transmitted and received to/from an external apparatus upon accessing from the external apparatus, a user does not confuse a recording region for recording photographed images with a recording region for recording album images. SOLUTION: Recording regions are accessed by the external apparatus via an external I/F 106 in response to an operation mode switch of an operating part 108, and are switched between a memory card 111 for recording photographed images and an internal memory 109 for recording album images.
