PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which can tell the user changing point of a zoom speed easily, without reducing the operability and design nature, even if it is arranged on the top surface or on the front surface of a camera. SOLUTION: A rotation operating type zoom lever unit 200 consists of a zoom lever 109 rotatively operated by a user, a control interlocking member 203 which is interlocked with this zoom lever 109 and rotated, a switch engaging part 203a which transmits the rotating motion of the control interlocking member 203 to a switch 300 for switching the rotating motion of the control interlocking member 203, and a leaf spring 204, to which the spring 201a is brought into contact with the switch engagement 203a to give a predetermined load to the rotation operating type zoom lever unit 200. When the lever member 302 in the switch 300 drives within the limit of the predetermined rotation angle, the contacts for the switch is changed and the switch is, regarding the zoom speed, continuous loading is given so that the zoom lever 109 is returned to a center valve position by a torsion coil spring 303 in the switch 300. When the zoom lever 109 exceeds the predetermined amount of the movements, loading to the center valve position is made to increase in a discontinuous manner by the spring part 204a.
